Fruit Paste Persimmon Appetizer


  • 3 persimmons

  • 3 slices of white bread

  • 3 tbsp Springmount Fine Foods Fruit paste (we recommend either our spiced pear paste, or gingered quince paste, but any will work)


  • Finely slice the persimmons, and lay 4 slices down on a board, making sure that the ends of each slice are overlapping. Continue to do this for the rest of the persimmons. 

  • Carefully grab one end of the persimmon slice line and start to roll tightly. Continue to roll until they look like small roses.

  • Using a small cookie cutter, cut small rounds out of the bread. Then place a small amount of the fruit paste onto the bread and smooth out with a butter knife.

  • Carefully place the persimmon roses on top of the bread slices. Enjoy!
